MARIO SANDON SIGNED GLASS REINDEER This is an absolutely beautiful hand blown glass reindeer sculpted by famed artist Mario Sandon in crystal and black glass. Mario began his art form at age 14 in Murano, Italy. In the 1960's he and his brother-in-law, Roberto Moretti were brought to the United States by Pilgrim Glass Company owner, Alf Knobler. His glass pieces are of museum quality--many items are one-of-a-kind. The prices usually are in the range of $750 -- $1,000. The clear and black reindeer is truly beautiful. His signature is etched on the belly of the deer. The item is in excellent, like-new condition. It is part of a family estate filled with collectible glass. The length is approximately 11 1/2" by 10 1/2" high and the weight is about 5 pounds. For your collection or as a gift, you don't want to miss this opportunity to bid.
