This is a salt-glazed [itcher or jug, by the transplanted British potter, Mark Hewitt. Hewitt studied under Michael Cardew, and now has a home and studio in Pittsboro, North Carolina. The influence of Cardew is very clear in the form of this jug. The surface texture of the salt-glaze is much richer in-person. It stands approx. 8 inches tall, and is approx 6.25 inches in diameter at its widest point. It is in perfect condition, and features his personal stamp 'WMH'. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Insurance is included in the shipping charge. Also please see my listings for work by Warren MacKenzie, and Randy Johnston. Thanks for looking!
