I HAVE MORE RARE AND VERY COLLECTIBLE ITEMS IN MY OTHER AUCTIONS.....PLEASE VISIT MY OTHER AUCTIONS AS WELL....and in this auction we have This is a VERY RARE, GUTIERREZ MARKED STERLING SILVER OVERLAY SPADE BIT, measures 8 X 4.5 it is a iron bit with a really large shovel spade. bit is maker marked "R. GUTIERREZ MFR. 1084 LE CO ..... (this is where the mouth peice is) AVE S.F." has silver overlay and beautiful floral tooling to the cheeks, has double chin chains, and the bridle holders are laced with rawhide, and it too looks like, underneath, it is siver overlayed, the bit is rusty, and has dings & some missing silver (see pics) however, this is a really rare bit, as you can hardly find one in good condition with his maker mark!! it is a nice old bit and would make a nice addition to your collection or on your trade table. this bit can still be used today, although it would look better in your collection. as with all my auctions you are buying as found , please see my other cowboy bit and spur auctions.
