The item for bid is a Classic Shaped Arts & Crafts Marked TECO Art Pottery #304 Double Buttress Handled Vase in a Dark Matte Green, w/Copper Color Over-Tone Glaze that was made by the Gates Potteries, or American Terra Cotta and Ceramic Company in 1901. The vase is faintly marked on the bottom with the impressed TECO LOGO mark of a long vertical leg "T with ECO" printed vertically on the right side of the leg. Also, the number "403" is impressed into the base. (NOTE; I have circled the mark and number with a grease pencil, that can easily be erased). The vase is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with the only visible defects being a tiny pin head chip on the outer top rim edge that is under the glaze, and a tiny pin head size glaze pop located on the lower side that has turned gray in color over the years. The vase measures 7-7/8" tall, 4-1/4" diameter across the flared top rim, 5-3/4" wide across the angular handles, 6" diameter at the widest point near the bottom, and the base ring is 5-1/8" diameter.
