MARKING GAGE, WINSLOW PATENT, COMPLETE & NICE This is a marking gage or gauge patented by Charles Winslow of Pawtucket, RI on October 23, 1900 #660176. It was manufactured by The Mossberg Wrench Co of Central Falls, RI. Gage has a Rosewood stalk that is 7 1/4" long and a polished or plated steel head . The head consists of two pieces that can be adjusted for convex, concave or straight surfaces. T is also a sliding mortise point scriber. Scribed on the top of the head is "WINSLOW ADJUSTABLE FACE GAGE PAT. OCT. 23. âe~00". Portions of this marking are very faint and cannot be read. Gauge is complete and operable. On many of these gages one finds the sliding mortise point apparatus is missing. It is complete on this gage. Rosewood stalk is nice with no chips, cracks, etc. This is a nice gage with enough adjustments to keep the tinkerer happy. My E-Bay philosophy is simple, you are the customer and you decide how you want to handle the deal. I will go along with most anything as long as it is not too outrageous and you keep me informed. If it will be a few days before you get payment to me, no problem, just let me know so I will not worry about it being lost. I do not have any hard and fast time lines on what happens when. Normally I will get the package to the PO the day after I receive payment. If for some reason that will be delayed, I will let you know.As usual, you pay the shipping, insurance extra if desired. I personally recommend insurance if the item cost more than $100, but you decide. On most items I sell, I try to estimate the postage cost by USPS Priority Mail (my shipping method) and include that up front so you know exactly what the cost of the item will be. Iâe(tm)m usually within a couple of dollars of the correct cost depending on your zip code. Unless it is too heavy or too large I ship everything, everyw by USPS PRIORITY MAIL. I always declare the value on international orders at the exact invoice price. Never any crazy handling fees or ridiculous reserves.PayPal, money orders or checks accepted. Please allow a few days for checks if it is an expensive item. On most items I ship right away. So far all (well, most) of my dealings have been with nice, honest people. (As I would expect) . My satisfaction policy is also very simple, you are the customer and you decide if you want the item. Satisfaction guaranteed, no exception. Purchase may be returned for any reason or no reason within a week in original condition for a full refund. If it is something I did or failed to do I will also refund the postage. If you just changed your mind or found another one down the street, cheaper or better. I still accept returns except you should pay the postage. Are you interested in Old Tools and Tool Collecting?
