Marklin 8805 DB Class 89 Tank Steam Locomotive (Z-Scale) Very Good Used Condition Era II Marklin 8805 Class 89 tank steam locomotive for the German Federal Railroad (DB). Model was released in 1988 with a 3-pole motor. Item is no longer in production. You can spot the difference between this model and the more common 8800 by the road number. The 8800 is typically 89 006, while the 8805 is road number 89 008. See photos below for crack in plastic box liner and price sticker residue on one end flap. Locomotive was test run before the auction, and it runs very well, including on small-radius track. Locomotive has power pickup wipers on all three axles, which certainly contributes to its smooth running performance.
