Marklin Insider 88040 "Franco Crosti" Steam Loco You are bidding on a Marklin mini-club Insider edition locomotive was produced in 2003 in a one-time series only for Insider members. Marklin 88030. Prototype : German Federal Railroad (DB, the "Deutsche Bundesbahn" 1945-present), class 42.90 steam locomotive "Franco Crosti." Service life: 1951-1958. Franco-Crosti boiler. Model : Powered with a 5-pole Marklin mini-club motor. All driving axles powered. Headlights are provided by maintenance-free LEDs. Length over buffers: 107 mm / 4-3/16". This locomotive goes well with freight car set 82518. This engine has not been on a layout in several years, and we no longer have a Z-Scale track or transformer to test this engine. The locomotive is cosmetically in excellent condition. It ran well last time it was used and has had very light duty, however, it is being sold "as is" as we are unable to test it. It has been stored in the original packaging as shown in the photo; please note that the external sleeve is missing. Marklin's Z Guage ... for 25 years the world's smallest electric train!
