MARPAT Digital Camo Tactical Field Uniform Based on the MARPAT (Marine Pattern Camouflage) used by the USMC, our digital BDUs incorporate leading edge technology in construction and design. The digital pattern is more complex and broken up than traditional BDU patterns and allows for better blending into backgrounds MARPAT (short for MAR ine Disruptive PAT tern): Is a pixilated camouflage pattern in use by the US Marine Corps. The pattern is comprised of multiple rectangular pixels of varying color. In theory, it is a far more effective camouflage than standard uniform patterns due to the way it mimic the dappled textures and rough boundaries found in natural settings. As a result, the digital pattern breaks up the outline of the human body with the natural background. MARPAT uses green brown tan and black to blend into the surrounding area. Being a green based camouflage, it will serve you best in a wooded environment. They are constructed using a synthetic Cotton blend to resist shrinking, and a permanent press finish is applied to keep them looking sharp with minimal upkeep.
