The Archive Marshall Field's Round - The - World Clock. A Beautiful Wood Black Gloss Mantel Clock With Displays For 10 Cities From Around The World. The Mantel Clock Runs on a "AA" Battery For Each Clock. The Large Mantel Clock Base Measures 26.0" Wide And 18.0" Tall. The Clock Itself Measures 12.0" Across The Center And Has A Glass Face. In The Early Years, The Marshall Field's Visitor Bureau Allowed Guest To Send And Recieve Telegrams, Consult Railroad Timetables, Use A Long Distance Telephone, Buy Tickets And Leave Messages For Friends. Atop The Service Desk was An Immense Clock With A Face Displaying A Dozen International Time Zones Plus Local Hour. Built By German Clockmaker August Hahl circa 1895, The Original Is Now Housed In The Archives Of The State Street Store. This Replica Comes with The Original Marshall Fields Paperwork.
