I have a Beautiful White Crock Type Beer Bottle or Decanter With a Flip Top Lid Made in Germany up for sale or auction. This bottle is titled, "Luther auf dem Reichstag zu Worms."

This is a one time yearly bottle that is made by a Private Brewery, J.F. Sailer Brewery in Marktoberdorf, Germany. Each year the brewery releases a limited number of new designs that have historical or cultural signifigance. Its reads on the label, "We invite you to enjoy both a bit of history and one of Germany's finest beers. My feedback speaks for itself. Buy with confidence. Please leave feedback, we all need a track record for our buyers. I will leave feedback after I receive it. That way I know that you have received the item.

This is not a new bottle but it also is not very old. This bottle is made and feels like a stein would feel. On the inside it has a blue glass bottle which is connected to the stein material. This bottle has a flip top, the sealer is still on it to close it and the label is still around the top. That label reads, Imported by Noble Union Trading Ltd., Brewed and bottled by Privatbrauerei F.J. Sailer 87616 Marktoberdorf. Sailer Fest Malt Liquor. Contents 0.528 gallons, product of Germany. It still has the tag on it that gives the story about Martin Luther 1483-1546 which is quite different than the one below. This bottle is in excellent condition but needs to be wiped off a little due to gathering some dust. T are no scrapes, chips, hairlines or scratches that I see on this bottle. The size of this bottle is 13" tall and 5 1/4" in dimeter at the widest part. This bottle has a maroon metal stripe around the neck as well as in the center of the bottle. The handle I believe is made of wood. It also has a large picture of that day at Worms on the front of the bottle. The top label says, Das Alten Munster Brauer Bier. Meaning "The Old Munster Brewed Beer." This bottle is very heavy and will not fit into a Flat rate box.

This is definitely a collector piece for all you bottle or decanter collectors. You can also use it as a decanter for any alcohol that you would like to use it for. These bottles are very rare and the same ones are not remade. This is also part of our history and our culture by having the different scenes on the bottle as they are produced.

is some history in case some of you may be interested other wise scroll down: Luther at the Imperial Diet of Worms (1521)

Luther, who through the church's excommunication was practically declared a tic, was invited to Worms by the Emperor who had been pressured by a few princes. Both the church and Emperor wanted Luther to recant his teachings while he was t The princes who supported Luther hoped that through the forthcoming events the political power of Rome over Germany would be weakend.

Luther's powerful sovereign, Elector Friedrich the Wise of Saxon demanded that Luther not be outlawed and imprisoned without a hearing. Luther began his trip to Worms on April 2, 1521. The journey to the Imperial Diet did not embody the repentance the church had hoped for. The journey to Worms was more like a victory march; Luther was welcomed enthusiastically in all of the towns he went through. He arrived in Worms on April 16 and was also cheered and welcomed by the people. Luther's appearance at the Imperial Diet was described as objective, clever and well thought out. He had to appear before the Emperor twice; each time he was clearly told to take back his teachings.

Luther didn't see any proof against his theses or views which would move him to recant: "Unless I am convinced by Scripture and plain reason - I do not accept the authority of the popes and councils, for they have contradicted each other - my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and I will not recant anything for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. God help me. Amen." After he left the negotiations room, he said "I am finished." And he was for the ti...
