Greetings. You are bidding on a BUILD-A-FIGURE action figure of “ GALACTUS” from the Toy Biz “ Marvel Legends ” action figure series. This is one of the largest and most detailed figures of the devourer of worlds ever produced. Information: GALACTUS was manufactured by Toy Biz in 2005, and was the Build A Figure issued as part of the Marvel Legends GALACTUS B-A-F (Build-A-Figure) Series which was also known as ML Series IX (9). Each of the regular figures in the series came with a single Galactus piece. The complete Galactus figure was constructed by the collector after all figures in the set were bought and all pieces acquired. Figure Description: The Marvel Legends toy series featured meticulously detailed, beautifully painted, and very pose-able action figures. The sculpting is top-notch and the articulation is unsurpassed. Many collectors believe that the Toy Biz Marvel Legends (and the similar Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Hulk and X-Men Classics figures) are the nicest Marvel super hero action figures ever produced. Galactus stands approximately 16” tall, and has good pose-ability. He is featured in his classic suit and helmet, blue and purple in color. Character Description : Galactus is one of Marvel’s “cosmic” characters. The Devourer first appeared in Fantastic Four #48. One of the all-greatest creations of by Stan “The Man” Lee and Jack “King” Kirby. Galactus feeds by draining worlds of their essential life energy. His heralds (Silver Surfer, Firelord, Terrax, Morg, etc.) locate likely planets and summon their master, who, unfortunately, destroys the world when feeding. Long deemed a villain, Galactus is more akin to a great white shark, just doing what he does as an essential part (apex predator) of the Marvel universe. “Galactus. The Devourer. Ravager of Worlds. The sole survivor of the universe that existed prior to the creation of the current universe, the scientist named Galan found himself reborn at the Big Bang as a being of great cosmic power, and even greater hunger. Galactus has minor to moderate wear (scuffs, dings, nicks), mostly to his arms and to the rubber lower section of his suit. -No packaging is included. -The figure is complete with all body parts assembled. -This figure was owned, and displayed, by an adult collector in a smoke-free home. -PLEASE NOTE: The photo was taken by me, and is of the figure which you will receive (this is not a stock photo or one taken from elsewhere on the net).
