Certainly the crowning achievement of sculpting produced by Louis Marx Toys or any play set figure from this era of baby boomers. A large 2.25 inches.tall x 4.5 inch long hard molded hollow plastic figure of a charging GRIZZLY BEAR from a Jungle Animal play set in chocolate brown color. Most of these did not survive the rigors of the toy boxes, often as not having broken tails, teeth, horns, etc. But this one survived, losing none of its incredible detail with age, and is in very fine condition - even the small pointed teeth inside the mouth are intact. I spent 35 years of my adult life looking for the figures from this series, literally coast to coast, combing every possible antique store, collectible toy shop, leaving sketches from memory and getting no where. Of course this was all prior to ebay, but even by ebay standards these are anything but commonplace. As featured in the pages of the Sears Christmas catalog in 1960.
