These recast Marx 60mm Civil War Confederate soldiers were some of the first mass produced Civil Soldier figures ever available for this period, and were released originally in the mid-1950's as the Centennial of the American Civil War was approaching! This recast group comes in an identical color to the original "dime store" figures (sold for ten cents individually when first introduced!), but these are a harder plastic, which would allow you to paint these figures much easier than the originals! These figures are considered by ebay to be "used" under their new category system, but they have not been played with, only opened up from their initial packaging and are for all intensive purposes, in "like new" condition. These poses were also marketed later on as "Warriors of the World" in hard plastic and factory painted in both West Germany (at that time) and Hong Kong. This specially contented Confederate set includes the EXTREMELY RARE Confederate cavalryman weilding a sword overhead , a standing firing pose, an advancing soldier with rifle held waist high, one soldier loading his rifle, a marching soldier with a bedroll, an uniquely posed wounded officer holding a ramrod and signaling to another unseen soldier, and two Confederate Generals, a saluting one that Marx sold as Stonewall Jackson, and the other who was not sold as such, read more
