Marx Disney See & Play Playset in Original Box! Disney Castle with Disneykins and Accessories
You are bidding on a hard-to-find Louis Marx See & Play Disneykins Playset for Walt Disney Productions that includes the castle, Disneykins, box, and accessories. These playsets may have been made in or just after 1968, but the pieces included were from the ORIGINAL set of Disneykins that were created PRIOR to 1968. There are many things included with this set, which you can see in the pictures. The picture on the cover is very dark compared to pictures I have seen online of other sets, so this may be a mistake that could add value to the item. This game playset includes: Disneykins! Some of these are even still in their original plastic bag, as you can see a couple bags in the picture! Some are missing, when I look at the cover to compare what I have with the cover. I did not count the number of Disneykins, but you can see what is included in the picture. Plants and extra buildings, rocks, and accessories as shown. Looking at the cover, I can see that some things are missing. Also, some of the plants need to be put back together. I believe there are extra pieces here, as well. There is a picture of all the plants and accessories. This also includes flags and banners. Two of the metal wires are missing but can be easily replaced with a small piece of common wire. One of the flags tore off the wire but can be easily glued back on. When you get this you will see what goes together. Clear castle with turrets and base. The base has a couple cracks in it, with a tiny 1/4" piece that apparently came out on the side. This cannot be seen from the front and does not interfere with use of the castle. There are common scratches due to playing with the set, and it is otherwise intact and in nice shape. The draw bridge has to have the chain put back together for assembly but that should not be a problem. The crank for the bridge works. Turrets are placed at all corners with fencing. The fence is intact, but as you can see in the pictures, two turrets have been snapped apart and have to be glued back together as the pins for reassembly are broken off. This is not a problem with some model cement or super glue. At the seam, there is an opaqueness that can be seen if you look for it. These will assemble, as I show in the pic just holding them together with a rubber band. I have seen mention of a play mat, but do not know if that would be included with this. Also, the picture shows a bridge, and there is no bridge here. It is not clear what should be in the kit, as there are no instructions or parts list. It comes in the original box, which has a tear and separation as you can see in one of the pictures. Someone who is an expert at repairing these things can make it look like new. There are a couple creases and one of the edges has some fraying, but that is to be expected from a game that has been well played with. In fact, I would say that this is in extraordinarily good shape considering it was played with. You will not find a lot of these around so this is a real catch! If you are a Marx collector or Disneyana collector, you will want to be sure to snatch this up, especially since I do not have a reserve on it! I have seen these selling for more than twice the price I have started this at! You don't want to miss out on this great buy, so BID NOW!
