According to O'Brien's Fourth Edition , this truck is rated as SCARCE , in capitol letters. By the research I've done, it was produced for two Easter Seasons only, 1936 & 37. Apparently it was made for a particular retailer, and not available to the general buying public. A friend on mine has one in mint condition with the retailer price tag still on it. It was sold by Rea & Derrick Drug Stores. THIS truck is complete and in total, original condition . T are no dents, creases, broken, or missing parts. The paint shows play wear after nearly 75 years , but that's it. Marked on the sides of the bed are Rabbits and Chicks, for Easter. If you look on the underside, t is a metal post not usually present on these trucks. This was to hold a ribbon that secured " the Load." This was solid milk chocolate barrels. When the lucky youngster undid the ribbon, the bed would drop, unloading the chocolates.
