Marx Hard Plastic Red Kitchen Cleaning Mop Vtg Doll House Miniature 1/2"DescriptionVintage dollhouse miniature red mop from MarxOlder hard plastic styleThis style is harder to find,because less were made and they are more fragile than the softer plasticGood vintage conditionVery hard to find item1/2" scale~~~~~~~~~The Louis Marx and Co. was started soon after WWIMost of the early toys that were produced were wind up mechanical models or metal cars and trucksOne of the most valued Marx toys is the Newlywed house that was produced in the 1920sThey produced many other toys, but in 1949 they began making more dollhouse furnitureThis is when they started to make their metal DollhousesThe early models featured hard plastic furniture in 1/2" scaleor as in the Marxie Mansion 3/4" scaleLater on they began making the furniture in soft plastic in both scalesThe also made a family of figures marked on the bottom "Father" "Mother" "Sister" "Baby"In 1964 they came out with The Little Hostess lineThis was a more expensive furniture and could be purchased individuallyIn the late 60s they also added to their line a futuristic house called the Imagination dollhouseMarx produced DH items till the 1970s~~~~~~~~~items are vintage so there may be minor flawsAny major flaws will be notedVintage item meant for adult collectorsI maintain a smoke free environmentPayment
