Great set of 1950's Marx Sears Allstate electric trains unearthed after years of attic storage. To the best I can determine, this is most of Deluxe Set # 2598 released in 1957. The cars in this set are some of the most desirable of all Marx rolling stock. Has Marx die cast #666 Steam Locomotive with smoke and headlight. The tender is Allstate. I believe there were some additional cars added along the way such as the Marx crane car (missing hook) and the B&M box car. This set included the very rare Sears Tractor Trailer flatbed featuring a Marx Japan tin litho friction toy tractor trailer truck in very fine condition. Truck is held on by two clips on flat car. Also, a car carrier with a plastic 1951 Chevrolet coupe and a flat car with a 1950's plastic panel truck. These two cars had one clip on them to hold the car and truck down, so there was only one vehicle on each. There is also a generator caboose and a long flatcar with all the original pipes. A very nice scarce Allstate Oil three dome tanker car. All are MARX rolling stock. All are in VF/EX condition. No breakage.There were a bunch of accessories in the set.
