This is an early version of the popular 333 locomotive with heavy duty cast iron tender. The consist is eye popping tinplate. The 3/16" scale cars are excellent plus-plus. They have no rust, and virtually scratch free. The scale trucks are very close to tarnish free, which is rare. The cars have automatic metal couplers. Comes with a full oval of O34 Marx track of which I am using to run this set right now. It is tarnished, probably was mounted on a board at some point. Has a very clean and bright Marx 50 watt transformer(#1249) with track and accessory terminals. An original set of instructions for the 333 locomotive, and an "uncouple here" sign. The box is solid, and with all dividers. The lid is solid but has damage, and some taping. Only one corner is torn, and is repaired. The locomotive looks and runs almost new. Will run at low throttle settings, or will highball almost off the track. Will back up for car uncoupling very smoothly. Very few spots of missing paint, no rust. Headlight with numberboard and green side markers. The cast iron tender is equally nice. No warps or cracks in the casting. Lettering is excellent. These tenders are prone to scratching, and paint loss. I would rate this one excellent, very light rubs and minimal scratches. There is one issue that needs to be discussed. One of the side hangers is cracked, read more
