Mary of Graces - CD Mary of Graces Music by the Daughters of Mary The Sisters who sing the hymns on this album are all members of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Mother of Our Savior. This is a traditional Congregation of Sisters which was founded in 1984 to enable young women to live religious life as it was commonly lived before the Second Vatican Council. These Sisters, tfore, follow a traditional schedule. They wear a traditional habit and live the traditional life of prayer and good works. Their day begins and ends with prayer. They sing the Divine Office each morning, noon and night. They teach in schools on Long Island and in Minnesota. They visit the sick and assist the dying. But their first and most important work is their special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. They seek to comfort the Divine Heart of Christ and to make reparation to Him for the coldness and indifference of men. Every day, tfore, in in addition to their other prayers, they spend an hour before the Blessed Sacrament. T is the presence of Christ in the tabernacle they seek to allay His burning thirst to be honored in the Blessed Sacrament. This spirit of love and reparation animates the lives of the Sisters. And it is, without question, evident in their beautiful voices as they sing the praises of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother by means of these hymns. It is their fond hope and prayer that God may use these songs and hymns to communicate to others, in some fashion, the love that they bear in their hearts for Jesus and Mary. For as St. Tse of the Child Jesus put it: "To love Jesus and to make Him loved - how sublime that is." This CD is professionally recoded.
