This is a great piece of Hollywood history and I found it right in New Jersey. I was moving books for my boss when I found this letter in one. It in response to a letter my boss's father had written to Mary Pickford in 1914 while he was a student at Princeton University in NJ. . He was telling her how much he enjoyed her work and asked when her latest movie would play in Princeton, w he was attending college. She replied about not knowing when the movie would play in Jersey. She wrote," Dear Mr. Tomlinson, Am sending the requested autographed photo and hope you'll like it. It is a great pleasure to recieve letters from people all over the country, letters of appreciation. My next picture is "Tess of the Storm Country" and will be released March 20 th. I do not know when it will play in Princton. Thanking you for your kind letter of appreciation and trusting that you may continue to be interested in my work, Sincerely Mary Pickford. T is a PS on the back w she thanks him for the ----- M P. I can't make out what the gift was. This item is in amazing shape and should be framed and displayed.
