St. Wulfstan’s Books Selling rare books of interest to Christians of the Episcopal, Catholic, and Reformed Traditions, and spreading the Gospel (and other good books) to others. We are pleased to offer this spectacular edition of the Holy Bible – Masonic Edition . It was published by Consolidated Book Publishers (Chicago) in 1955. It is a beautiful book, measuring roughly 7 ½ inches by 10 inches with long “yapp” edges extending beyond the book to protect the pages (which are not included in the measurements). It is bound in full blue leather with extensive gilt Masonic decoration to the front cover and the Masonic symbol, title (“Holy Bible”) and “Masonic edition” in gilt to the spine. The original marker, which is almost always missing, is included with some sunbleaching to the ends. This Bible is an Authorised (or King James) edition. It contains 894 + 302 pages and is complete with numerous full-page color illustrations and registers. T is light wear and some splitting on the yapp edges of the cover (more to the rear). The pages are bright and clean and free of marking, soiling, staining or foxing. The registers are filled to indicate that the Bible was given to James C. Cox (b. July 21, 1895, in Scotland) by Al Perlmutter, married to Frances Mary Button (b. Feb. 24, 1899 in Gasport, NY). The marriage occurred in Weehawken, read more
