Exceptional collection of collectible Masonic items. Not knowing anything about the items, I’m unclear as to what items may be the most collectible but am not inclined to break the set down into pieces. Two hats, one seeming to be for ceremonials and the other for routine wear. A heavy wool jacket and trousers, without sizes, but probably for a small-sized man. A sash with badge. Belt with attachments for hanging a sword and other items. A sword, sheath, and leather case (the case handle is included but has separated from the case). The sword is absolutely beautiful, with spectacular engravings on both sides. “Frederick Newman” is engraved on the center of the blade, and “The Pettibone Bros. Mfg. Co. Cinti.o” on the hilt. A Book of Ceremonials from M.W. Grand Lodge of Illinois, with “Wood River Lodge No 1062” written on the inside cover. Eleven membership cards, dated between 1932 and 1947. The oldest card (1932) is for E.W. Ferguson from Wood River Lodge No 1062, Wood River IL , and the 1947 card is for Frank L Ferguson from Belvidere Commandery No 2, Alton , IL . The other cards are various from both individuals. Everything is sold as is and as pictured. The dummy head is NOT included in this auction. The eventual cost of mailing will probably be a bit higher than “normal”, because of the non-standard size of the sword read more
