This Waltham Swiss Triangular Wrist Watch carries Masonic symbolism from Phoenixmasonry, the Blue Lodge and York Rite bodies. In the center of the bezel is a " Rising Phoenix " and around the rim are the working tools of the many degrees. Outside the rim is the unbroken chain of "Brotherly Love and Affection." Also on face is " Love Your Fellow Man Lend Him a Helping Hand ." The name " Waltham " appears on face above " 17 Jewels. "

Above the dial is the letter "G" within the star. Also represented is the "point within the circle."

Stainless steel back stamped with " Waltham Base Metal Bezel Stainless Steel Back Swiss Made ."

"17 Jewels " is also noted on face. (according to a jeweler who looked at it). Glass on face does not appear to be scratched or marked. All original, and is working perfectly. Swiss self winding movement.

Research indicates the Waltham Watch Company went out of business in 1957 when it became the Waltham Precision Instrument Company.

This watch was owned by my Grandfather (born in 1918) and has been stored in a safety deposit box for many many years. It looks almost mint, just very slight wear mark on the steel under side. I am sure he wore it to meetings a few times. The watch runs and keeps time perfectly!! I am not sure of the year it was given to him, but my guess would be in the 40s sometime. There is no serial number that i can see, and I did not take the watch apart to look for any additional numbers.

After researching this watch, I see they are very rare, and I wasn't going to take a chance on damaging it by taking it apart, or cleaning it with any chemicals.
