is one of the BIGGEST German made bowie knives that I've ever had. The blade is 8" in length from the hand guard and the knife measures 12 3/4" overall. Of course the handle is real stag and in perfect shape. The blade has not suffered from over sharpening and one can still see the roller marks on the blade. This is a real hand full, weighing almost 1 lb. Please Note: I say pre WW2 because the blade is marked "WILDCAT" SOLINGEN-GERMANY". It is my understanding that most items made after WW2 were marked EAST & WEST Germany. However I have heard from one eBayer, that this blade is most likely from the 1960's - so buy it as a darn good knife and make up your mind as to how old it really is. Found like most of our items, right in mid coast Maine. Bid with confidence, as I've sold thousands of items since 1999 and have a fine feedback profile.
