Up for a 7-Day, NO RESERVE auction is this massive, signed FULPER 2-handled vase or urn executed in a marvelous crystalline green glaze over a "hammered" clay surface. This gorgeous piece of american art pottery would be a superb centerpiece to any art pottery collection, arts & crafts and/or decorative motif. It has a wonderful presence, and the green crystalline glaze makes it just sparkle. This guaranteed piece of FULPER art pottery stands 12" tall, and is appx. 12" wide from handle to handle. The top, collared opening is 6 & 3/8" in diameter while the flared and slightly footed base is appx. 6" in diameter. The interior, while sporting some green spots, is essentially glazed a flat brown color. It is clearly signed with the vertical "racetrack" inkstamp mark. As mentioned, this large FULPER urn is in MINT condition. T are no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs and/or retouches whatsoever on this piece. The two "indentations" you see on the bottom outside edge are just that - indentations. They are smooth to the touch, with rounded edges and a final, clear-coat glaze from the factory on them. I think they must have been made during the second firing in the kiln, which would explain why they only have a clear-coat glaze covering. Let me repeat ...... These two edge marks are NOT chips or repairs of any kind. They are part of the original piece and were made in the factory, not post-factory, and barely show as small "undulations" in the clay surface when viewed straight on. ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED or your money back! This genuine piece of FULPER pottery in MINT condition will not disappoint. The other two thin marks are just grinding flecks in the center of the wide foot. No chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs and/or retouches to this piece...Period !
