Massive Victorian Horner Griffin Oak Sideboard ~ 1890
Great Carved Winged Griffins! is an classic Horner style Griffin sideboard. Probably made in Grand Rapids, the griffin carvings are extra nice, and the case is curvy with a serpentine form! Whether your trying to complete a Griffin dining set or just looking for an eye-catching piece, this will compliment any dining room or hall! We always try to offer a wide variety of interesting and rare antiques. Along with our fine record of shipping such large items, we are so happy to find good homes for all these special items! ~ Made of fine American quarter-sawn oak and veneers on the drawer fronts, this massive piece makes a strong statement! The paw feet, curvaceous case, carved face pulls, and the rising griffins all speak for themselves! The counter top is extra deep for placing all your dining treats. The original beveled mirror adds space and dimension to the room, and even the top shelf is serpentine with pleasent carvings the full length. Shipping by our truck will be between 350.00 to 550.00. Just ask for our schedule to see when we'll be in your area. ~ Condition is very good, with an older restored finish. The bottom drawer has two splinters on the bottom edge, hardly noticable. The dimensions are 65" high, 66" wide, and 28" deep. The counter height is 39" high. The best of luck and make sure to check out our other unique auctions of Mission, Victorian and Early furniture! We also take checks and MO's....checks must clear:-) Click to Remember Lily Click to read an article about us in the eBay Chatter
