This auction is for the Limited Edition MasterReplicas collectible, Darth Maul double-bladed lightsaber, as seen in ThePhantom Menace. This item was released in 2003, has been sold out for quite some time and is becoming increasingly hard to find. The production line was limited to 3000 pieces, and you are bidding on #2368. Very little is known about the enigmatic Sith Lord known as Darth Maul, sinister apprentice of Darth Sidious in Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. However, his brief appearance left an indelible mark on the Star Wars universe. It is evident that his skill with the lightsaber is almost unmatched. Maul dispatched the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn, and nearly succeeded in slaying Obi-Wan Kenobi as well. Darth Maul's deadly lightsaber is as unique as his frightening visage. For the first time in the Star Wars films, we are introduced to a double-bladed lightsaber Constructed from durable machined and die-cast metal, each replica is polished and assembled by hand. This item is in excellent condition and has been briefly displayed in my smoke-free apartment. It includes the collectible display stand, numbered display plaque, plaque stand, and Certificate of Authenticity (COA). It will be shipped in the original packaging.
