This auction is for one Star Trek Communicator Limited Edition Artist Proof (AP) Plaque, made to accompany Master Replicas' Star Trek: TOS Tricorder Prop Replica. THIS AUCTION IS ONLY FOR THE AP PLAQUE, NOT FOR THE PROP!! But it is an Artist Proof, which makes it very rare, and very valuable!!
What's an Artist Proof? Artist Proofs (or APs) are a special unnumbered version of a collectible, produced by the manufacturer in addition to the regular run, to provide samples for media and the licensor. Master Replicas generally makes about 30 APs for each of their products, and very few ever get out into the public. Because of their scarcity, they are highly valued by collectors, and generally sell for a lot more than a non-AP on the secondary market. Now, you can make your regular ol' Master Replicas Star Trek Tricorder into an Artist Proof -- with the addition of this plaque!! (The Tricorder AP has been known to sell for almost double what the regular LE does!!!) Why am I just selling the plaque? Well if you check my other items for sale, you will see that I have several plaques for sale. They are all up for grabs because I either (a) already sold the item previously, and kept the plaque, or (b) i am selling the plaque now, and keeping the item, or (c) I somehow ended up with an extra in my collection! This auction includes the LE AP plaque, along with the Certificate of Authenticity and collateral, in the MR Folder!
