Nice matched pair of uranium glass candlestick holders. Yellow-green glass, clear, deco floral pattern etching around base and single etched band in middle. We were informed that these were likley manufactured in Ohio in the 30's however we are not expert enough to know for sure. No dings, chips, or cracks. Very few minute bubbles interior as might be expected, centerline molding marks very faint. These flouresce very brightly under longwave UV, typical of Uranium doped glass and have a nice tinge when sitting in the window. To verify the Uranium content, this set tested with a geiger counter giving 1200 counts per minute from under the base. A key-chain LED UV light tested on these made them flouresce nicely too! Both 4.25" round base x 8" tall. A very nice set for the mantle, collection, or cool gift.
