A brand new Matchbox Y-6 “Models of Yesteryear” 1923 Supercharged Bugatti Type 35. Made in England by Lesney Prod & Co. Ltd; scale 48:1. It comes complete in its original box and was only removed to take the photo. The box still has all its internal flaps and tuck-in end closures. Matchbox Y-6 Supercharged Bugatti Type 35 First built in 1923, and known as the Type 35B or 35C with either 2.3 or 2.0 litre engine respectively, this car was capable of speeds well in excess of 100 m.p.h. and the fastest speed recorded in 1928 was 122.5 m.p.h. This model may be of interest to historians who collect model memorabilia. NOTE: The photo does not do the model justice; I have therefore tried to describe it as closely as I can. Slight Damage: The box may be looking a little tired and has gone a bit brown all over, but all in all, not too bad considering its age. The model is in mint condition!!! This model is surplus stock from when the family used to retail in the trade, but after retirement (about 1980) it has just sat in a box in clean, dry storage until now. It comes from a smoke-free household and only selling due to house clearance. It will be carefully packed to protect it when posted.
