Matchbox Gift Set #G-2 Car Transporter Set 1960's, rare This Matchbox G-2 Car Tranporter Set dates from the mid-1960's. It includes the original gift set box and plastic tray, and the five original vehicles: Major Pack #8 Guy Warrior Car Transporter #36 Opel Diplomat #22 Pontiac Grand Prix #28 Jaguar Mk X #75 Ferrari Berlinetta All have minor chipping and play wear, and the box is somewhat worn and scraped up. I don't think this gift set had a permanent plastic window in the box as some other sets did; the plastic shrink wrap served that purpose when this was new, though it is of course long gone. This is a hard set to find in any condition, and this piece will be a great addition to your Matchbox collection. I have decided to mostly liquidate my 40-year collection of Matchbox and other diecast toys. This includes many rare and desirable models, and many mint and boxed models from the 1950's and later. Please keep checking my auctions for more great toys. Because these toys are fragile, shipping insurance is required, and is included in the shipping price. However, t are some countries for which Auctiva (the Ebay checkout and listing service I use) does not offer shipping insurance.
