You are bidding on a very rare (1/1200) MOY Black 1911 Model T Ford. This is possibly the rarest of all Models of Yesteryear issues. the Y1 Model "T" Ford was produced from 1964 to 1974. During this time, it had only been produced in two color variations: a red and a cream body finish but never as Henry Ford had produced the real model..."They can have it painted any color, as long as it's black!". So, American collectors,especially members of the American International Matchbox Collectors Club and Exchange, hounded the marketing staff at Lesney USA with a request for a black model and it finally paid off. At the end of it's model run,1200 all black Model "T" s were ordered and sold through the Matchbox Collectors Club quarterly newsletter. All 1200 sold out within weeks making the Black Model T a rare sought after collectable in the series. This one was oned by a family member and has been in its box for over 30 years. It is mint. The box however has a blemish (as shown). when packed it still displays as mint. Don't confuse this with the less rare 1984 "Connoisseurs collection" which has a tan interior.
