MATCHBOX MODELS OF YESTERYEAR 1911 MODEL T FORD- RARE ALL BLACK CODE 2 MODEL ISSUED TO MATCHBOX COLLECTOR'S CLUB IN USA - Model Y1-2 A change in domestic circumstances and a downsizing house move necessitates the reluctant sale of a large part of my diecast model collection built up over many years On offer here is an all original Matchbox Models of Yesteryear RARE Code 2 1911 Model T Ford with BLACK body/chassis, black textured hood/ grille/seats/steering wheel, brass trim, bare metal windscreen frame and chrome 12 spoke wheels. This was one a small batch of models released exclusively by Matchbox/Lesney in 1976 to the Matchbox Collector's Club in the USA and is VERY RARE .Essentially it is a Code 1 model having been manufactured in it's entirety by Lesney Products Ltd but was classified as a Code 2 by Matchbox Toys Ltd suported by MICA because it's distribution had been restricted to Matchbox USA club members only and was not sold through the retail trade. Knowing the value of the Textured Black roof component issued on this model the all black Model T Ford issued as part of the Connoisseurs Set later in 1984 had the words "Limited Edition" cast into the underside of the hood.
