Why not have a look at my other auctions and store items for interesting collectibles?
This is a set of Jimmies, the nickname of Mercury, the winged messenger. They were used by the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and are from the 1950's as they were replaced by cloth in the 1960's. They were worn in the crook of sergeants hooks to denote that rank. In the event that t was not enough room because of a large shoulder title and a divisional patch, the Jimmy could be worn directly on the rank stripe. (This information from Tom Bennetts excellent book SKILL AT ARMS) This perfectly matched pair is like new and is complete with backers and pins. They are white metal with copper lugs and each Jimmy is 1 3/8" tall. A nice set for your Canadian badge collection. I will happily combine shipping costs for multiple items and do this automatically. Shipping will be $3.00 anyw in North America, $4.00 for international. Good luck and thanks for looking at one of my many interesting auctions.
