This matched quad of General Electric-MADE Black Glass 6V6GT output tubes was tested in my Maxi-Matcher with 400 volts on the plates and -36 volts on the grids. There were no shorts or gas. Tube One Through Four had plate current readings of 22.1, 22.4, 24.1 and 25.8 milliamps while transconductance measured an equally-excellent 1900, 1950, 1700 and 1980 micromhos, respectively. (NOS NIB 6V6s generally test within one standard deviation of 1700 micromhos) I played them yesterday in my Stereo 70. They sounded terrific with excellent frequency response and soundstaging and were dead quiet when the preamp was muted. Three tubes are labelled "General Electric" ,all four were made by GE and are silkscreened with the GE code of "188-5." Please also note that Tube Four does not have a centering pin but that it is easy to see where it was and how the tube should be oriented. TUBES ARE GUARANTEED AS DESCRIBED ON SHIPMENT. IF YOU FEAR DAMAGE IN TRANSIT, PLEASE INSURE THEM! I CANNOT GUARANTEE FOR FAILURES AFTER POWER UP AS THERE IS NO WAY TO DETERMINE HOW TUBES WILL INTERACT WITH YOUR ELECTRONICS; NOR IS THERE A WAY TO DETERMINE WHETHER THEY MAY HAVE FATAL FLAWS! I CAN ONLY TEST FOR THE PARAMETERS MENTIONED ABOVE. IF THIS ITEM IS LOST AND YOU DID NOT ELECT TO INSURE IT, THE LOSS IS YOURS ALONE. IF INVOICE REMAINS UNPAID AFTER FIVE DAYS -- OR BUYER AND SELLER HAVE NOT MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR DELAYED PAYMENT -- THE BIDDER WILL BE REPORTED TO EBAY VIA THE NON-PAYING BIDDER LINK. THE ITEM WILL THEN BE RELISTED AND SOLD TO THE INITIAL WINNER ONLY IF NO ONE HAS WON THE RELISTED ITEM AND PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE REPORTED INDIVIDUAL.
