I don't have the engine for this set, just the three cars from 1960. This is a nice matched set in that both the 30 and 40 have the cross-bracing on the baggage doors. This grouping includes the more difficult to find No. 40 Combine car that was only made in 1960. The 1959 Franklin set came with two No. 20 cars and you got the No. 30 free in exchange for the coupon on the back of the catalog. In 1960 Gilbert introduced the No. 40 car and made the sets with three different cars -- 20-30-40. This 40 does include the smoke stack which is often broken off. All of the couplers work just fine and all of the steps are complete. The corners on the roofs are good and all the brakewheels are present. I'll grade the trio in the C-6 range. This would be a good grouping to extend that Franklin Set that runs around your Christams Tree. As with all Ebay auctions by Farner's Flyer there is a low opening bid and no reserves. All packages go out USPS Priority Mail in flat rate boxes. Postage on this item will be $9. Shipping only to the United States and Canada. All recognized payment methods accepted.
