Matching Pair Wood & Gesso Antique Frames If there is no bid on this item in the first 48 hours we reserve the right to add a reserve price. This is a nice antique pair of matching wood frames with gesso. These frames are in excellent condition. There are a few flaws, but nothing terribly noticable from more than a few inches away. It would be difficult to find another matching pair in this condition. We will decribe both frames individually. The frames measure 22 3/4" tall by 16 3/4" wide. The glass measures approximately 19 1/2" tall by 13 1/2" wide. The first frame (with the photo of the woman) Overall, in excellent condition, but there are a few minor flaws. There is a little chipping to the gesso along the back edge. The bubble glass does have some air bubbles in it, so we're assuming that the glass is original. There is a small crack to the glass in the lower right hand corner. It is located near the edge of the frame and looks to be approximately 3/4" long. It is in a semi-circle pattern. A photo of this has been included. The paper backing on the frame has some tearing, but it still in good condition. The wire for hanging on the wall is nice and strong. The second frame (with the photo of young man) This frame is also in excellent condition. It has some chipping to the gesso along the back edge of the frame and a few minor scratches. None of these are terribly noticable except upon close inspection. This frame has also has a few minor to chips to the gesso design work. The back of the frame appears to have a cardboard backing with paper backing along the edges. There is some writing on the back of the frame, but I admit I make out what is says. There is a wire for hanging on the back of this frame, it is also nice and strong. There are no visible cracks to the glass. There is some writing on the back of this frame that reads "2.50" over "1.00" with a line and the number "3.50" underneath. There is also the word "Glass" next to it. Due to this we're assuming the glass was replaced on this frame at some point, but at $3.50 it must have been some time ago. The photos with the #1 in them are close ups of the frame with the woman in it. The photos with the #2 are close ups of the other frame. Each of the photos are of different sections of their frames.
