Matching set of 5 hand coloured Robertson's Monthly Fashion plates circa 1847. These lovely plates are in generally very good condition with no tears or creasing and only a few small/faint marks commensurate with age. The colours are clear and bright with no signs of fading. I have tried to photograph each one as closely and accurately as possible. The bottom part of each plate depicts ladies wearing fashions of the day while the top part shows hair and millinery trends. The plates have been professionally mounted and pleasingly (though not professionally) framed in painted gold coloured wood frames.
