This is a medal struck in the year 1911 to commemorate Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary. This medal has been issued by the metal polishing fluid firm 'The Matchless Metal Polish Company Ltd'(now long gone) of Liverpool. The busts of the monarchs are featured, along with details of the Coronation, on the front. The Royal Crest is depicted on the reverse .Surrounding this, is references to the Polish Company. The aluminium medal ( just under 39 mm diameter) is in a collectable condition. There is some wear and a bit of scratching and pitting. However, all details are fairly clear and legible. The medal grade is a Fine (F). A link is present to allow chain or fob wear. Good item for the royalty or medal collector.Equally, a good find for those with an interest in early commercial advertising.
