Handmade is Sweden, it is from the Mats Jonasson Signature Collection. It is signed and numbered 0327. The piece measures 7 inches wide x 6 ½ inches high x 1 ½ inches deep. It is in excellent condition! Mats Jonasson was born in 1945, and he is the third generation of Master glass Craftsmen. He has developed new techniques for sandblasting glass and new ideas for designs with glass. He has been singular in capturing wildlife proportions into handmade crystal works of art, and his feeling for shape, his accuracy of style and his detail is totally individual and has gained him recognition and reputation with collectors throughout the world. Jonasson´s talent as a designer attracted attention early on, when he started work as an apprentice engraver at the glassworks in 1959. Over the next few decades he worked with many of the most respected contemporary glass artists in Sweden. During this period, he developed that natural style of his which he's since perfected. Inspired by the natural world around him, he has opened his mind to create his distinctive masterpieces in the finest Swedish crystal.
