For same here is this rare MATSUKOKU made ASAMA Bass guitar Made in Japan, thru-neck four string bass guitar. Excellent quality as always from the Matsumoku factory which was famous for producing many excellent guitars in the 80's. The bass is in good condition, the neck is straight and the frets have years of life left in them. Featuring a single Precision pickup with volume and tone, Ash body with maple transit neck. I believe the thumb rest is a later addition and the Tag will probable come off with some T cut and polish. Personally this is close to a perfect bass for me with its simple controls, excellent tone, incredible build quality and the thru-neck construction with quality woods. I hope you'll like it as much as me. Included is the gig bag as shown.
