Up for sale is the highly anticipated I Love Lucy FRED MERTZ as Santa Barbie doll. If you (or someone you love) collect Mattel's I Love Lucy dolls, then this is the doll that most likely isn’t in the collection. This is a Platinum Label Barbie doll, which means that only 999 or less were produced by Mattel. Mattel inserted a numbered certificate of authenticity inside of each box. Each certificate is numbered from 1 to 999. This gorgeous doll has never been removed from it's box, which has remained unopened and is in mint condition. The word is out: Mattel recently released the final I Love Lucy doll for the series. Since this is the only doll of Fred Mertz in the series, the value of it should climb again.
