Just in time for Easter or for the folk artcollector is a handmade, hinged book box. The box has a painted folk art bunny wearing a red cape with hood looking very similar to Little Red Riding Hood. The box is signed by the artist, Maude Risher Ciardi who was a one time student of Peter Ompir. Her painting and antiquing style is very close to Ompir and W.C. Wrede. The box measures approx. 7 ½” W x 9 ½” L x 1 ¼” D and is the perfect size to hold papers, letters, jewelry, etc. I personally used it for display only. I have been selling on Ebay for 12+ years.
