Standard model 98 mauser leather bayonet frog that was modified to use a French lebel bayonet by stitiching up the edges tighter, probably used in Turkey as they had many mausers and a few French rifles. The French bayonet fits right in comfortably. Leather is pliable , has a few loose stitches, very unique piece for your collection. Winning bidder to include $4. for shipping in the lower 48.
