BookDescription: Kate Douglas Wiggin and Nora A. Smith, Eds., Arabian Nights, Their Best Known Tales, New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1930, 339 pages plus publisher’s ad. Pasted on over label by Parrish, decorated endpapers, 9 color illustrations by Maxfield Parrish. Dark brown boards, slightly faded on spine with one miniscule dig. Owner’s name written in ink on provided illustrative scroll. Very good binding and clean pages with no tears. Overall a very good copy. Contains retellings of such Arabian Nights classics as Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, the Fisherman and the Genie, Sinbad the Sailor, Aladdin and the Lamp, the City of Brass, etc.
