iMaxfield Parrish "Garden of Allah." This original almost mint print with original frame and matting is signed and dated 1918. This is one of his early works and is not water damaged or torn. There are a couple of very small dings (about 1/4)inch scuffs on the print but overall it is in excellent condition. The frame which has neat angles on the corners is handpainted a beautiful dark green and gold color and is also in excellent condition with a couple of dings on the outside edge which can be touched up with paint. The dings are not gouges but scrapes and overall this 94 year old print is beautiful. I went online and found similar ones signed and dated 1918 that were slightly better which sold for $1500 and more. I found one that was water damaged and torn which sold for $500.00 I'd like to get more than that but don't expect to get $1500 of course. Low starting bid and reasonable "buy it now" to own a very nice condition piece of M. Parrish art. I will ship with insurance for full amount and crate it with a frame to protect glass etc. Keep away from sunny area as colors are still vibrant and would have faded had this been kept near sunlight all those years.Maxfield Parrish prints are found in many museums including the Metropolitan Museum of NY, Philadelphia, Detroit Art institute to name a few.This frame is the original period read more
