This is an ancient Roman coin stamped with the likeness of Maximian or Maximianus Caesar, Emperor of Rome from 285 to 305 AD . Coin is framed with a 14K gold bezel with bail so that it can be worn as a pendant on a necklace. Coin measures approximately 1" tall and 1" wide. Bail is 1/4" tall and 1/16" wide. This piece weighs in total 5.7 grams (0.2 ounces). This item was purchased from Cardow jewelry store in St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands) and has never been worn since purchase.
