From my personal vintage jewelry collection: This is one of the loveliest Mazer Brothers/Jomaz rhinestone bracelets I have had the privilege of owning. An earlier piece, it is marked "Mazer Bros." on the back of the clasp. It is in the most wonderful condition. Not surprising, since I have had many pieces by this designer, and this style is extremely different from anything I have seen to this point. This wonderful Art Deco-style bracelet has brilliant & glowing lilac oval rhinestones and sparkling-clear rounds. I know that my pictures show the lilac oval-cut stones to be pale blue, when in natural lighting, they are a beautiful lilac/lavender in color. This effect is referred to as "alexandrite" or "color-change". Kramer, Mazer, Hobe', and many other fine design houses liked to use this effect quite alot in their creations. Under flourescent lighting (which was evidently used in my pictures), they do appear pale blue. Nevertheless, no matter what the lighting, I love ALL these colors and the spectacular effect it presents. T no yellowing or wear to ANY of the stones (which is TOTALLY unexpected). It has bright gold metalwork plating, so very shiny, with lovely golden scrollwork between links. It is a really magnificent bracelet! It is in wonderful condition. I try to be conservative, so you are happy when you get these pieces of history! I see no missing stones, in keeping with the fabulous condition of the piece. The stones are all bright and clear with minimal, if any, wear to them or to the gold-toned metalwork. No stones appear dark, dull, or cloudy. Some history on the design house: "Founded in 1927 in New York, the company went out of business in the late 1970s. Mazer jewelry is very high quality. Andre Fleuridas designed much early 1950s jewelry and in the 1970s, Adolfo even designed some pieces for the company. Early jewelry is marked "Mazer Bros" or "Joseph Mazer". Later pieces are marked MAZER or JOMAZ". Mazer Brothers were known for their well-crafted jewelry and use of high end rhinestones. This bracelet is a beautiful example of Mazer craftmanship. It is elegant, yet modern for its time and looks wonderful on. The rhinestones are much, much brighter than the pictures show. The bracelet actually looks like the "real thing", but of course this fine designer is quite adept at that effect, so it's no surprise to anyone familiar with the design house. It is an exquisite, majestic bracelet in exceptional condition for a piece of this age! It looks suitable for royalty! T is a working safety chain, and the clasp is nice and tight. The bracelet measures approx. 6 3/4 inches long by 5/8 inch wide at the widest points. It is a fairly heavy, exceptional high-end designer piece. This is an exquisite Mazer Bros. bracelet! Always beautiful, impeccably-constructed, and always in style. You will not be disappointed in it! ***Pictures always make the pieces less brilliant & colorful than they are in real life!****All sales final.
