For further information please ****************************************** First UK pressings of 'Kick out the Jams' are pretty rare. However, the majority of copies which exist are not in the best condition and it is probably true to say that most of them are 'trashed'! It' s one of those records that was only bought by a few people and they weren't the kind of people who looked after it!! What I am offering here is, quite simply, the best example I have ever seen. This has the following 1st press matrix numbers: Side 1: EKS 74042 A2 Side 2: EKS 74042 B1 Detailed description Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been well cared for. Under bright light, just fine hairlines and sleeve-removal marks were visible, but nothing significant. Labels: Both labels look superb with no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and just light spindle marking, suggesting that the record has only been played a handful of times. Sleeve: The sleeve is really nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just light signs of use. There are some scuffs near the top of the front and a very small sticker tear in the top-right corner. The rear has some slight ring wear. Other than this there are just some light creases around the edges and corners and a few minor marks. Inside the gatefold is very fresh and clean. I have never seen a copy of this sleeve as good as this. Edge wear: There is moderate storage wear to the top and bottom edges, but no splits. The spine is solid and firm, with some wear at the corners but you can still read the text. There are just light signs of use at the opening. Corner wear: There is moderate wear to the corners, heavier on the bottom ones. The bottom corner at the opening has worn through to a small (8mm) corner split. Inner sleeve: Plain Detracting features not covered above: None. I have never seen a copy as good as this one.
