I believe this book belonged to my grandfather. He was a member of the Masonic Temple & I found a letter to him from WI Sen. Joe McCarthy. Signatures match and with this in mind I'm assuming he was writing to the Masons when he inscribed to, "...his friends in the 808..."The book McCarthy and His Enemies (The Record & Its Meaning) was written by a young William F. Buckley, Jr. (political commentator in later years) and L. Brent Bozell. It is a 4th edition published in 1954. Unfortunately the cover is torn, but the book is in really good shape for it's age. This book is a must have for collectors of American History or anyone interested in the McCarthyism period. I, myself, have not read the book & only recently ran across it. I have not found this book elsewhere, let alone a copy signed by McCarthy himself!
